Bundoora ruckman Matthew Dennis made history as he claimed his third Frank Rosbrook Medal as the best and fairest player in Division 1.

Dennis joined Diamond Creek’s John Elliot as the only players to have won the league’s Division 1 best and fairest award three times.

Dennis finished four votes clear of Heidelberg captain Michael Brunelli to claim his second consecutive Meadows Greyhounds Division 1 best and fairest. He also tied with Bronik Davies in 2012.

The Bundoora ruckman was again the co-captain of the NFL’s representative team in 2017 and on Saturday will be striving for his third premiership with the Bulls.

AFL games record holder Brent Harvey took out the A Plus Labour Solutions Division 2 best and fairest in his debut season with North Heidelberg.

Harvey, who helped steer the Bulldogs to the premiership on Saturday, finished four votes clear of his brother Shane.

He polled 26 of a possible 30 votes between Round 3 to Round 12 and claimed the best and fairest, despite missing three games during the season.

Heidelberg West ruckman Jarryd Coulson sealed an outstanding debut season at Heidelberg Park to claim the Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 best and fairest.

Coulson received votes in 10 matches, including every game from Round 7 to Round 13 as he became the first Heidelberg West player to win a senior best and fairest award since 1988.

Darebin’s Shannon Egan won the inaugural Northpark NFLW Division 1 best and fairest award despite playing only seven matches.

The Northpark NFLW Division 2 award was shared by West Preston-Lakeside’s Natarsha Bamblett, Montmorency’s Nicole Blythe and South Morang’s Rechelle McSwain.

Northcote Park midfielder Jordan Perry was named the Meadows Greyhounds Division 1 Coaches Player of the Year. Patrick Flynn took out the award in A Plus Labour Solutions Division 2, while St Mary’s captain Dillan Ronalds was the Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 winner.
