The Northern Football Netball League is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Dale and Ann Castles to its netball umpire program.

Dale has been appointed Netball Umpire Coach and joins the NFNL with an extensive background in netball umpiring.

An A-Grade Badge accredited umpire, Dale has previously served as a VNL state umpire and has officiated at the Under-21/Open Nationals.

She has previously worked as Court Supervisor at the Parkville Netball Association and has also served as head coach and president of various netball clubs.

Dale will be assisted by Ann Castles, who has accepted the role of Umpire Coach Mentor.

Castles brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously served as Netball Victoria’s Umpire Development Co-ordinator.

The duo will work together to manage and mentor the NFNL’s netball umpire department, which contained more than 100 registered umpires last year.

NFNL chief executive Peter McDougall said Dale and Castles would provide a wealth of knowledge to the league’s netball umpires.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Amanda and Ann to the NFNL’s netball program,” McDougall said.

“Their experience and knowledge will be a great asset to the league and our team of netball umpires.”

The NFNL is also pleased to announce the appointment of Lachlan Bayliss as Netball Umpire Administrator.
