Nikolas Cox and Ewan Macpherson have been named co-captains of the Northern Knights for the upcoming NAB League Boys campaign.

Cox was a member of the NFNL’s representative teams at both under-14 and under-15 level.

Macpherson hails from Diamond Creek Junior Football Club and comes from a highly regarded football family.

His father Stephen played 188 games for Footscray, meanwhile older brother Darcy has played 40 games for Gold Coast Suns and last year finished third in the club’s best and fairest.

The 18-year-old impressed in 15 NAB League games with the Northern Knights last year and has already trained with the Western Bulldogs.

Macpherson represented the NFNL at under-14 and under-15 level and featured for Vic Metro at the NAB AFL Under-16 Championships in 2018.

The NFNL congratulates Nikolas and Ewan on their selection as co-captains of the Northern Knights and wish them well for the 2020 NAB League season.
