Please continue below for the club’s statement:

Diamond Creek Women’s Football Club are pleased to announce their senior coaching team for season 2021.

Col Wallington will again be heading up the team for a third season.

Col has coached Juniors from 2008 to 2012 at Oak Park Football Club and Pascoe Vale Football Club. He also coached reserves men’s football at Jacana and Tullamarine and has been the seniors coach at Diamond Creek Women’s Football Club over the past two years.

2020 has had its challenges off field but Col is certainly looking forward to season 2021 with plans already in place.

We would also like to welcome Petrus Jurgens to the Diamond Creek Women’s coaching team. Petrus has come on board to help out at training and game days where he can, as Petrus is still playing local senior football himself. Petrus has played many years in local football and rugby. Col is looking forward to working with him to develop our senior playing group. Welcome on board Petrus.

Stacey Cross has committed to being the senior playing assistant coach for season 2021. Stacey comes with a wealth of knowledge playing senior women’s footy for over 14 years. Stacey has represented Victoria five times and has been an All Australian, played VFLW for Williamstown, represented Vic Country and Vic Metro nine times in total. She has also coached the club’s under-19s ever and then followed up the next year with the under-18s. Stacey also coached the Reserves in 2013 and was playing assistant coach in 2019. DCWFC looks forward to having Stacey back on board in 2021.

We are also pleased to announce that we have secured Alicia Ball to coach our reserves team in 2021. Alicia came back to DCWFC in 2019 to help with the senior and reserves teams on game days and loved the coaching side of things and put her hand up for season 2020. But as we all know season 2020 never eventuated so Alicia has put her hand up again for season 2021. We thank her for her commitment.

If you are wanting to play footy in season 2021 in a supportive and encouraging environment, please get in touch with us via email to secretary@dcwfc.com.au or give Col a call on 0424 590 286 to have a chat about your footy goals.
