The Northern Football Netball League is pleased to announce the appointment of Elise Billings as Junior Netball Development Officer.
As the NFNL’s Junior Netball Development Officer, Elise will coordinate the NFNL’s junior netball competition and NetSetGo program, which will both commence in 2020.
The NFNL junior netball program will offer competitions for girls and boys from every section from under-9s through to under-17s.
The junior netball competition will be conducted on Saturday mornings on outside courts at Harvest Home Primary School. The 2020 introductory season will commence on Saturday February 8.
NetSetGo is netball’s starter program for girls and boys aged 5 to 10 and provides an opportunity for participants to learn the netball basics, get outside and make friends.
As part of the new role, Elise will also be responsible for the appointment of umpires to all netball matches in the NFNL and offer support within the NFNL netball department.
She has an extensive netball background as both a player and umpire. She achieved her umpiring B badge at just 15 years of age and has been involved in the Victoria Netball League’s (VNL) High Performance B Grade Talent Squad.
She has experience within the NFNL as both an umpire and umpire mentor and has worked closely with NFNL Netball Umpire Coach Amanda Dale to successfully badge and mentor umpires within the league.
NFNL chief executive Peter McDougall said Elise was a welcome addition to the league and its member clubs.
“We are extremely pleased to have Elise join the NFNL’s administration team and we look forward to her making a positive contribution to our netball program,” McDougall said.
All clubs wishing to enter teams in the junior netball competition and those who require assistance establishing a junior netball program are encouraged to contact Elise Billings on 9435 8228 or by emailing email@example.com.
Elise will be based in the NFNL office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
