New era for NFNL

The Northern Football Netball League (NFNL) is proud to announce a name change and new logo as part of a rebrand of our organisation.

The name change to the NFNL incorporates the entire membership of our organisation – including our senior and junior football competitions and open-age netball competitions.

To reflect the name change and rebrand, the league is also proud to unveil a new logo.

The new-look design, produced by La Trobe University graphic design student Maddison Curtin, includes the NFNL brand and incorporates both the football and netball components of the league.

NFNL chief executive Peter McDougall said the new brand reflects the significant growth of the league and acknowledges the contribution that netball makes to our organisation.

“The new brand will replace the NFL and NNL brands and the new combined brand demonstrates a more inclusive approach to managing both sporting codes,” McDougall said.

The new logo will be used on all NFNL branding going forward, including uniforms, publications and all digital and social media platforms.

The league will introduce a phase-in approach for the logo on all playing uniforms. Clubs will be permitted to use uniforms displaying the old NFL logo, however all new uniforms will be produced with the new logo.

A formal name change will be tabled at the league’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday December 6.
