North Heidelberg has issued a statement announcing the resignation of senior coach Jimmy House.
Read the club’s statement below:
Dear Members & Friends of the North Heidelberg Sporting Club
It’s with a heavy heart that I announce Jimmy House will be standing down as senior coach effective immediately due to personal reasons.
Jimmy addressed both players & coaching staff this evening before training.
Jimmy in his inaugural year as senior coach took the club to a division 1 finals appearance last season after being appointed following our division 2 premiership in season 2017. That Jimmy could take our predominantly young playing list to finals in our return to the top division is testament to his coaching ability with his preparation & knowledge of the opposition contributing largely to our success.
The decision to resign is Jimmy’s & Jimmy’s alone as he had the full support of the committee, players & members of the club..
Remember Jimmy don’t be a stranger you will always be welcomed back to the home of the Bulldogs anytime.
The club wishes you every success in your future endeavours.
The football department is currently working overtime in search of a replacement senior coach who we believe will be the best available person for the position.
In the meantime, our coaching group led by Brent Harvey & Kain O’Brien will continue driving pre-season training until an appointment has been made.
The show must go on & as soon as an appointment is confirmed we will advise you all.
