The selected teams are in for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.

All senior men’s teams in Melbourne Greyhounds Division 1 are permitted to select a 23rd Player for this weekend’s matches. The 23rd Player must be an Under-19.5 eligible player and can’t have previously played more than two senior games.

Bundoora star Jackson Bowne will play his first game of the season for the club as they take on Macleod.

Bowne has spent the year with GWS’ VFL side and is one of three inclusions for the Bulls alongside Daniel Younan. The Roos meanwhile have Michael Hurley returning as well as veteran Patrick Martin for his first game in 2024.

Lachlan Smith and Tom Wallis are important inclusions for North Heidelberg as they host Hurstbridge, with the Bridges to be without Cameron or Mitchell Wild.

Tom O’Sullivan and Joel Trudgeon will miss for Greensborough when they make the trip to Montmorency, with the Magpies bringing back Jordan Steele.

Eltham will be without Jason McCormick and Ben Montanaro when they face Heidelberg. The Tigers have selected Ben De Bolfo.

Joshua Carelli, Zane Costello, Tane Cotter and Joseph Maggio are some of the huge names out for St Mary’s in their important clash with Thomastown.

Meanwhile, Mitchell Andrews and Xavier Dimasi return for Whittlesea this week, with their Saturday opponents Northcote Park to miss skipper Matthew Perry.

Bailey Brown and Joshua D’Intinosante headline the outs for South Morang who take on a Diamond Creek outfit that will be without Mitchell Dale.

Lower Plenty captain Jordan Sacco will make the trip to Panton Hill; however, Joshua Turner will miss.

Old Paradians will welcome back captain Marcus Nolan for their massive battle with Old Eltham Collegians but will miss star Sam Gilmore. Matthew Keys returns for the Turtles.

Scott Selwood in in for Ivanhoe as they host Kilmore while the Fitzroy Stars have made seven changes ahead of their game against Mernda, with Neville Jetta and Kain Proctor some notable ommisions.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to Sunday’s matches.
