Sports Trainers Wanted: Lower Plenty Football Netball Club

Published on Tuesday, February 18, 2020

Lower Plenty Football Netball Club is looking for sports trainers for the 2020 season.

The Bears are a Division 2 football club in the NFNL and located in Lower Plenty.

We are looking for students who want to be a part of the medical support team for the seniors, reserves and 19s.

Successful applicants will be mentored and work directly alongside physiotherapists.

The Club has an alignment with The Optimal Health Lab, a Physiotherapy clinic in Eltham with opportunities for additional training and mentoring and observation to aid in improving manual therapy skills, taping, clinical reasoning and player management.

Sports training is a great way to build manual therapy skills, assessment and clinical reasoning in the acute environment and looks great on your resume! (Especially if you want to go into private practice).

Requirements:

• Must be available Saturdays (opportunities for Tuesday and Thursday training throughout the season)

• Level 1 Sports trainer certificate

• First aid and CPR certificate

If you would like to apply for the position, please forward your resume, contact details and a short paragraph about yourself to our Physiotherapist and head trainer Darcy Sharples at darcy@optimalhealthlab.com.au
