Umpire in the NFNL

Published on Monday, January 20, 2020

The NFNL is looking for new recruits to join its umpiring group for the 2020 football season.

With the continual growth of our football competition and a record number of matches predicted, the NFNL is actively seeking to add to its number of field, boundary and goal umpires.

You can umpire close to home, back to back games, Saturday or Sunday or a combination of both.

Some umpires earn over $400 a weekend TAX FREE and others $500 a month – the choice is yours. Payments are made monthly and directly into your bank account.

“It’s a nice surprise when it hits your account,” one umpire said. “It helps pay the bills and helps keep up with the cost of living.”

NFNL Head of Umpiring Gary Fila said umpiring is a great way to stay involved in the game and be active in the community – particularly for past players looking to keep fit and parents wanting to be active.

“Many parents volunteer as goal and boundary umpires in our matches – here’s the perfect opportunity to get paid for it,” Fila said.

Be part of the community and become an umpire. Keep fit, help out, learn leadership skills, be part of a team and get paid for it – TAX FREE!

You never know, it might just take you all the way to the top. The average AFL umpire earns $120k a year, part time.

If you love your footy, you’ll love being an umpire.
