Northside Lions Superules Football Club is seeking applications and expressions of interest for the role of Senior Over 35s Coach (playing or non-playing) for season 2022.
The senior team currently plays in the AFL Masters Vic Metro Over 35s Premier Division North. The Club is based out of Crispe Park in Reservoir.
Northside Lions Superules Football Club is a supportive, inclusive and diverse club that is home to 4 men’s teams and 1 women’s team and has a strong one club philosophy.
We are looking for a candidate with experience and connection, one that is an effective verbal communicator, has demonstrated organisational skills, has a good understanding of game day strategies and tactics and has a willingness to promote football for fun and one club philosophy of Northside working with the Committee and other Coaches.
A full job description is available on request (email: info@northsidelionsfc.com.au). Training, selection and match day coaching form the main requirements of the role. To be a playing coach, you need to turn 35 in 2022.
Commitment required is training once a week between April and September and play matches on a fortnightly basis over 10 rounds and potentially two 2 rounds finals. Preseason is November to March one evening a week. Approximately 9-10 hours per fortnight during the season.
Remuneration is associated with the role and can be discussed at time of interview. All applications will be handled in strictest confidence.
It is desirable that the applicant has Level 1 AFL coaching accreditation or willingness to obtain one. The club is happy to fund a Level 1 accreditation for the successful applicant should this be required.
