Position vacant: Sales Executive – Local Football (Part Time – Fixed Term)

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Sales Executive to join our achievement focused Beer Sales Team in Victoria. This is an awesome opportunity for someone with a great understanding of local footy and looking to build or continue their sales & marketing career in this great part time role.
As the Sales Executive – Local Football you will leverage your knowledge of AFL or local sports to build long term, mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships to support the continued growth of our enviable brand portfolio. This role also requires acting as brand ambassador – your active presence at regular club events will help to bring our brands to life, further facilitating their integration into these organisations.
The successful applicant will have a sales background and relish the opportunity to take ownership of and particularly grow our James Boag’s Draught local football sponsorship program. You will perform promotional activity, build strong relationships, and effectively service footy clubs to achieve budget and strategic objectives identified in the plan program. The role covers the Melbourne Suburban area and reports through to the Business Development Executive based out of our Malvern site.
You will be proactive and possess a blend of the following skills, qualifications and experience:
– Good knowledge and experience in either AFL or local football
– Sound business acumen and strong negotiation skills
– Proven communication & influencing skills, with the ability to connect and engage internal and external stakeholders
– Solid experience in building long term sustainable business relationships
– Current and valid Australian Drivers Licence and access to your own vehicle
– The ability to work flexible hours, with weekend & evening work required during the sporting season
– relevant Tertiary qualifications (preferred but not essential)
– Previous sales experience in FMCG welcomed
