The Northern Football Netball League (NFNL) is pleased to confirm key arrangements for the upcoming 2025 NFNL Finals Series, reaffirming its commitment to affordability, accessibility, and community support across Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
In a strong show of support for players, clubs, and patrons, the NFNL has frozen admission prices for the third consecutive year, with no price increase for any ticketed finals match in 2025. In addition, the admission fee for the NFNL Grand Finals will remain unchanged from 2024, ensuring continued value for fans on the competition’s biggest day.
In a significant initiative to promote and grow women’s football, all lead-up women’s finals matches will be free of charge, encouraging more supporters to attend and celebrate the achievements of women’s teams across the league and removing financial barriers.
The NFNL can also confirm that all Junior Football and Netball Finals Series matches, including Grand Finals, will remain completely free of charge, continuing the league’s long-standing tradition of making junior sport accessible for all families.
Venue Confirmations
The league is pleased to announce that the Men’s Division 1 Finals Series, including the Grand Final, will be held at Epping Recreation Reserve in 2025.
Venues for the Men’s Division 2 and Division 3 Finals Series, including their respective Grand Finals, will be confirmed in the coming days, alongside the announcement of the 2025 NFNL Women’s Grand Final venue.
Transaction Fee Absorption
In a further step to ease financial pressure on attendees, the NFNL will absorb all electronic transaction fees associated with football admission, beverage, and canteen purchases throughout the entire Finals Series. This will include Netball admission fees. This means patrons will not pay any surcharge for using cards or digital payments at venues, reinforcing the league’s commitment to affordability and convenience.
Commitment to Community
NFNL CEO Martin Stillman said the league’s approach this year is grounded in the belief that cost should not be a barrier to enjoying grassroots football and netball at the highest level.
“We understand the ongoing cost-of-living pressures facing many families.” Mr Stillman said.
“That’s why we’ve frozen admission fees and beverage prices again in 2025 and are absorbing all card transaction fees.
“We’re proud to have no admission charges for Juniors Finals games and Grand Finals and Women’s lead-up finals, and we’re doing everything we can to make the Finals Series accessible to all.”
These initiatives are part of the NFNL’s broader efforts to support clubs, players, and the local community insuring as many people as possible can share in the excitement and celebration of finals football 2025.
Further details regarding finals venues, match dates and times, and ticketing information will be announced via the NFNL website and official communication channels in the coming weeks.
