Senior Teams | June 14-16 | Northern Football Netball League

The selected teams are in for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.

Montmorency will bring in some handy inclusions as they host West Preston-Lakeside, headlined by Patrick Dozzi who will play his first game of the season from VFL duties. 2023 Coaches MVP winner Marcus Lentini has also been selected while Nash Holmes will miss for the Magpies.

Kye Declase and Sean McLaren loom as massive inclusions for Hurstbridge when they take on Heidelberg, but they will be without Mitchell Moschetti, meanwhile Zachary Hudson and Michael Hurley will both miss Macleod’s trip to Greensborough.

Jesse Donaldson and Jason McCormick headline the additions for Eltham in their important battle with Bundoora. The Bulls will welcome back Peter McEvoy.

Kurt Aylett and Vivian Blackmore-Moore are back for Banyule while Nicholas Biscontin will make his first senior appearance since Round 17, 2023 when their side face North Heidelberg. The Bears will miss Lewin Davis and Riley Loton, while the Bulldogs have made four changes with Lachlan Smith and Jesse Tardio not selected.

Bailey Brown and Tyrone Leonardis return for South Morang ahead of their match with Lower Plenty. Joshua Turner is back for the Bears as is Riley Alexander, who will play his first senior game for the club since Round 9 last year.

Thomas Blake will miss for Panton Hill but their Saturday opponents in Diamond Creek will unveil multiple Division 3 Team of the Year defender Bradley Moore for his senior club debut.

Caillin Kett and Matthew Perry have selected for Northcote Park, but Christopher Clark will miss the Cougars’ trip to Thomastown.

Heidelberg West will play Carlton star Brendan Fevola in a one-off appearance as the Hawks host the Fitzroy Stars.

This will be Fevola’s first NFNL game since 2016, when he kicked eight goals while representing Hurstbridge.

The Hawks will also welcome back club stalwart Masaki Miki for his first senior game at Heidelberg Park since 2021. He spent the previous two seasons at Thomastown.

Old Eltham Collegians captain Eden Simpson will return from injury and play his first game of the season when his side battle with Kilmore, while Mernda skipper Angus Mills will achieve the same feat when the Demons face Lalor.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to Sunday’s matches.
