Senior Teams | June 3 - June 5 | Northern Football Netball League

The selected teams for this week’s NFNL senior football matches are in.

In Melbourne Greyhounds Division 1, Joel Naylor returns for Hurstbridge in their battle with North Heidelberg. The Bulldogs will be without Brent Harvey but do welcome back Jack Mapleson.

Lucas Hobbs and Sebastian Latina headline the inclusions for Macleod in their game against Montmorency, although Brad Leggett is among six outs for the Roos.

Magpies co-captain Sam Binion returns to the line-up but they will miss key forward Patrick Fitzgerald.

Former AFL player Jacob Townsend will make his debut for Bundoora in their huge clash with Greensborough. Currently listed with VFL outfit Southport, Townsend will join Scott Dowell and Nathan Thomas as inclusions for the Bulls, however they will be without Neville Jetta or David Mitchell.

The Borough will welcome back Thomas Brindley but will be without Tom Bell.

Kobe Brown is back for West Preston-Lakeside in their important contest against Heidelberg, the Tigers regain Zane Barzen and Charlie Wilson but will miss Brayden Sier.

Whittlesea will be bolstered by the return of multiple star players, with Jarrad Waite and Blake Watson some of the seven inclusions in their must win game with Northcote Park. The Cougars will regain Jordan Schroder.

In MC Labour Divison 2, Arben Dani and Devin McDonald will be welcome inclusions when they host Epping while Diamond Creek will lose Jai Norman but welcome back James Marchbank for their clash with Panton Hill.

Tyrone Leonardis headlines the in’s for Thomastown in a must win game against Watsonia, while Jason McCormick and Braydn Taglieri will miss for Eltham in their battle with a Fitzroy Stars side who regain Andrew Hood.

In a huge blow for Lower Plenty, Tom Keys will miss with injury in their match with St Mary’s, the Burra adding Daniel Castagnini to their squad.

In Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3, while Old Eltham Collegians will be bolstered by the inclusion of Matthew Keys, they will be without key duo Nicholas Milne or Tom Rogers for their top four clash with Kilmore.

Mernda will regain Ryan Bongetti when they host Laurimar.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to Sunday’s matches.
