Senior Teams | May 11-12 | Northern Football Netball League

The selected teams are in for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.

Montmorency will welcome a handy trio back when the host Hurstbridge. Marcus Lentini and Ben Paterson return while Blake Murphy will play his first game of the season.

The same can be said for Heidelberg who will have Nathan Honey, Sean Martin and Daniel O’Dwyer available for their Grand Final re-match with Bundoora. The Bulls will be without Jackson Davies.

Kristian Ferronato and Andrew Stellas headline the inclusions for Greensborough’s huge battle with Banyule, however the Boro will miss Harrison Andronaco, Benjamin Fisher and Jamie Smith. The Bears’ Kurt Aylett is unavailable.

Michael Hurley and Liam Hunt are out for Macleod and North Heidelberg respectively ahead of their match tomorrow, but the Bulldogs will have Jared Crosbie return to the side from VFL duties, as well as Ben Giobbi, who will make his club debut.

Lawrence Lo Piccolo is back for Thomastown when they host Lower Plenty, with the visitors welcoming back Patrick Flynn to the side.

Matthew Lewis and Chris Moloney return for Diamond Creek, but last year’s minor premiers will not have Jacob Booth, Joel Randall or Mitch Tobin at their disposal when they take on Watsonia. The Saints have made five changes.

South Morang remained unchanged from their big victory in Round 5 ahead of their match against St Mary’s. The Burra welcome back co-captain Nicholas Dean but will miss Mitchell Green and Lachlan Read.

Northcote Park will be without a host of stars in Jordan and Matthew Perry as well as Christopher Clark in their must win clash with Laurimar. Jacob Lawson will play his first senior game of the year for the Power while Matthew Gersh also returns.

Both Kilmore and Epping will have important names return for their battle at J.J. Clancy Reserve. The hosts welcome back Bradley Deed and captain Mick Marrett, while Adrian Alfonsi and Luke Lirosi have been included in Epping’s line up.

Meanwhile Sam and William Gilmore will return for Old Paradians when they take on Lalor. The Gilmore brothers as well as the inclusion of Kyle O’Sullivan are among five changes for the Raiders who are back from the bye.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to Sunday’s matches.
