Senior Teams | May 18-19 | Northern Football Netball League

The selected teams are in for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.

Jamie Smith will be a welcome inclusion for Greensborough as they host Heidelberg, with the Tigers including Solomon McKay for his first game of the season from VFL duty.

Jack Maruff has been selected for Bundoora but they will miss Luke Collins and Jesse King for their match against West Preston-Lakeside.

Former Collingwood player Callum Brown will make his NFNL debut for Montmorency when they take on North Heidelberg. The Magpies also bring in Stefan Uzelac while Bulldogs midfielder Liam Hunt is set to return.

Both Hurstbridge and Macleod will welcome back key names in their clash this weekend. The Bridges will have Kye Agosta and Jake Wild at their disposal while Michael Hurley returns for the Roos.

Tom Hallebone and Devin McDonald will suit up for Banyule as they take on Eltham. The Panthers have made five changes, with Jason McCormick and Ben Quaynor headlining the inclusions, however, they’ll miss Jesse Donaldson.

Thomastown will have ruckman Jarryd Coulson after he was a late out last week, but skipper Anthony Capeci will miss when the Bears travel to Watsonia.

Jacob Booth and Joel Randall will both play for Diamond Creek as they host Lower Plenty, while Brad Leggett will make his third appearance for Panton Hill when they do battle with an unchanged Laurimar side.

Rory Hanlon headline’s the outs for St Mary’s, while their Saturday opponents in Northcote Park will see star quartet Christopher Clark, Jordan Perry, Matthew Perry and Daniel Tallariti all return.

Ash Close and Kane Veliou are two of six additions for Ivanhoe in their clash with Lalor while Mitchell Merkel returns for Old Paradians as they face Kinglake, however the Raiders will miss captain Marcus Nolan.

Both Hugh Kavanagh and Matthew Keys are unavailable for Old Eltham Collegians when they look to make it six straight wins for the season. Their opponents in Reservoir will be without key duo Zechariah Cuppens and James El Moussalli.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to Sunday’s matches.
