2013 Year in Review

A look back on all the premiers and award winners from the 2013 Northern Football League season.

In the senior competition it was a memorable year for Bundoora, Whittlesea and Panton Hill who all won their respective division’s premiership.

The Bulls claimed the Division 1 flag after a famous come-from-behind win over Montmorency in the Grand Final.

It was a week to savour for Cameron Cloke shared who shared the competition best and fairest an took home the leading goalkicker trophy just days before claiming his second premiership medal.

Whittlesea spent just one year in Division 2 before returning back to the top flight after beating the Fitzroy Stars in the Grand Final, while Panton Hill won its first flag in 58 years when it beat Watsonia by a point in an epic Division 3 premiership decider.

The junior competitions continued to showcase the league’s outstanding junior talent, while the netball competition expanded to six sections – all of which produced memorable grand finals.
