The 2017 A Plus Labour Solutions Division 2 Team of the Year has been announced.
The league congratulates all players selected in the team.
The Team of the Year is selected by collating nominations submitted from each of the division’s senior coaches. Coaches Player of the Year votes and umpire votes are also taken into consideration.
A squad of 50 players was announced on Tuesday, of which the Team of the Year has been selected from.
Minor premier North Heidelberg has seven players selected in the team, while Diamond Creek and Lower Plenty each have four representatives.
The team features eight players who were selected in the 2016 Division 2 Team of the Year, namely Clinton Benjamin, Leigh Gilbert, Shane Harvey, Peter Hood, Marc Lonergan, Chris Moloney, Brad Perry and Jesse Tardio.
Patrick Flynn and Tom Keys also feature after being selected in last season’s Meadows Greyhounds Division 1 Team of the Year.
All players selected in the teams will receive a framed poster of the squad, which will be presented to their club later this month.
