The selected teams for this week’s NFNL senior football matches are in.

All senior men’s teams are permitted to select a 23rd Player for this weekend’s matches. The 23rd Player must be an under-19 eligible player and can’t have previously played more than two senior games.

Ahmed Saad makes his long awaited return for West Preston-Lakeside in their Melbourne Greyhounds Division 1 clash with Hurstbridge, he joins Joel McDonald as inclusions for the Roosters. The Bridges regain Tyson Old but will be without attacking duo Joel Naylor or Cooper Perrin.

Former Montmorency skipper Jesse Donaldson will make his first appearance since the opening round of the season when the Magpies face Whittlesea, Lin Jong is also returning for Garry Ramsay’s side.

Brent Harvey will play his second game of the year for North Heidelberg when they host a Greensborough squad that won’t contain Thomas Brindley due to VFL commitments.

Bundoora welcome back Neville Jetta in the Bulls’ match with Macleod. The Roos making at least five changes due to injury, with Ned McKeown and Sebastian Latina notable losses.

Matthew Smith returns for Heidelberg in their battle with Northcote Park, the Cougars also regaining Benjamin McNiece.

Banyule will have a number of stars return for their MC Labour Division 2 top of the table clash with Eltham, with Brent Stanton and Ricky Dyson notable inclusions. The Bears will miss Arben Dani, Tim Martin and Kye Yodgee.

The Panthers will be without Matthew Byron but young gun Jason McCormick is one of five additions to Robert Hyde’s side.

Daniel Bramich, Aaron D’Angelo and Benjamin Nesci headline the inclusions for Thomastown when they lock horns with St Mary’s. The Burra will regain Jake Dambrauskas and Huon MacGibbon.

Alden Meale and Joel Randall return for Lower Plenty and Diamond Creek respectively when they do battle while Leigh Judd and Alec Buchan are handy inclusions for Epping in their match with Watsonia.

Zane Pugliese-Thompson returns for Reservoir in their highly anticipated Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 encounter with Lalor, the Bloods welcoming back Dylan Cawsey and Jake Langbourne.

Both Old Eltham Collegians and Mernda will be without key players in their clash. The Turtles won’t have Timothy Ellis and Matthew Keys while the Demons lose handy duo Ryan Bongetti and Joshua Mazzarella.

Laurimar captain Mitchell Thompson makes his return to the Power lineup, one of four inclusions for their huge match with Kilmore, while Benjamin Peterson returns for South Morang in their important contest with Heidelberg West.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to Sunday’s matches.
