Nine NFNL junior stars will represent the Calder Cannons in the upcoming 2023 Coates Talent League season.

Announced on Thursday, the Cannons have confirmed their squads for both the Coates Talent League under-18 Boys and Girls seasons.

In total, nine NFNL players have been selected across the two squads, with seven players representing the Boys side and two players being picked in the Girls squad.

Of the nine members selected, six players represented the NFNL in junior representative football, three players made at least two appearances in a men’s or women’s senior side in 2022, while three players also played at least one match with the Cannons previously.

The Coates Talent League revealed the 2023 season fixtures last week, with the Cannons not playing their first game of the Girls campaign until Saturday, April 1st in Round 3, when they host the Sandringham Dragons at Highgate Recreation Reserve.

Meanwhile in the Boys competition, Calder will open the season in a clash with the Gold Coast Suns on Sunday, March 26th at Highgate Recreation Reserve.

The NFNL congratulates all players selected with the Calder Cannons and wishes them nothing but the best ahead of the 2023 campaign.
