NFNL experiences record growth in female football umpiring

As the second half of our football seasons take shape, the NFNL is delighted to announce record breaking female participation rates in football umpiring in 2024.

The NFNL is actively recruiting new umpires for its 2024 football seasons, and now is the perfect time to join.

NFNL umpires Joel Clamp (field) and Greta Miller (boundary) have been appointed to officiate the 2023 AFLW Grand Final this Sunday between North Melbourne and Brisbane.

In what has been a terrific year in the football umpiring program, the NFNL recognise the many outstanding milestones reached by our football umpires in 2023.

The NFNL congratulates former league umpire Martin Rodger who will make his AFL umpiring debut in Sunday’s opening round clash between Hawthorn and Essendon at the MCG.
