Responsible Gambling Awareness Program

Carlton Football Club will help deliver a responsible gambling awareness program to all clubs in the NFL

In association with Banyule Community Health, Northern Blues Football Club and the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, Carlton are delivering a responsible gambling awareness program to all clubs in the Northern Football League.

The program includes:
– Gambling statistics and what that means for Northern Metropolitan Melbourne
– Signs to look after your mates
– What help is available and how to access it

The program will look to develop leaders and mentors at Club level to identify the signs and symptoms of problem gambling and to develop strategies whereby young adults can gain the confidence to seek help as part of their general way of life.

Speakers include:
-Matt Torcasio, Ambassador, Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation
-Stuart Barton, Venue Support Worker, Banyule Community Health
-Shawn Wilkey, Community Manager, Carlton Football Club

Clubs that attend will receive a complimentary $200 voucher for sporting equipment. There will also be additional incentives announced on the nights. Clubs only need to attend one of the nights listed below.

SESSION ONE
When: Wednesday 23 April 2014 from 7pm to 8pm
Where: Montmorency Football Club, Para Rd, Montmorency

SESSION TWO
When: Monday 2 June 2014 from 7pm to 8pm
Where: Epping Football Club, corner High St & Park St, Epping

* Clubs only need to attend one of the two sessions

* Light refreshments available at both sessions
