The Diamond Creek Football and Netball Club will host a blanket drive in support of Vinnies this Friday, June 20.
The blanket drive is being held this Friday, between 5:30pm and 8:00pm at Diamond Creek’s Coventry Oval clubrooms, with ALL players, members, supporters and families delivering the blankets.
The club is also encouraging everyone from within the NFL community to generously offer their support as the club looks to raise 500 blankets to donate to those less fortunate.
With the winter and colder weather now upon up, these blankets are in higher demand, so with everyone on board, we can help make this winter a little more comfortable and make a difference for those in need.
The blankets don’t necessarily have to brand new. A good condition second hand one is still well received.
Football clubs already act as a community service in providing safe and welcoming club environments for the community.
While donations of a monetary value are extremely difficult, this is a pretty simple way we can continue to help others within the wider community.
This drive is an open invitation to all NFL members if they would like to help out a great cause.
