MONTMORENCY star midfielder Daniel Keenan brings up his 250th club game when the Magpies host Northcote Park on Saturday.

It is the second major milestone Keenan has reached this season, having played his 300th senior game in the club’s win over Heidelberg in Round 8.

After beginning his senior career at Hurstbridge, Keenan has had a magnificent career at Magpieland winning a multitude of club and NFL competition awards since his debut for Montmorency in 2001.

He has won two Frank Rosbrook Medals as the Division 1 best and fairest player (2008 and 2009) and has been placed on three other occasions.

He has also won three Montmorency B&F awards and been placed on four other occasions.

As impressive as Keenan’s multiple awards are, one of his most impressive stats is that he has played 250 of a possible 251 games for Montmorency.

For a player who puts it all on line each Saturday afternoon this resilience and courage is simply incredible.

Whilst Bomber has black and white coursing throughout his veins, his impeccable on field conduct, love and passion for footy and respect for all players has seen him become one of the most highly respected NFL footballers within the entire league.

He has always represented himself, his club and the league with great distinction and pride whenever he has taken the field.

Congratulations to Daniel and good luck in the milestone game.
