The NFL claimed wins in nine of its 15 matches at the 2015 AFL Victoria Junior Metropolitan Championships.
After a perfect start to the Championships, where the NFL won all five of its opening round matches under lights, the league’s good form continued into Round 2 – winning four of its five games.
All four boys sides were victorious in their matches over the South East Juniors on Saturday, while our under-16 girls suffered a defeat to a powerful Yarra Junior Football League outfit.
Unfortunately, the third round of the Championships on Monday proved a different tale as all five sides fell to defeats.
The four boys teams finished the Championships with 2-1 records after each slumped to close defeats to the Western Region Football League, while the Under-16 Girls ended with a 1-2 record following a third-round defeat to South East Juniors.
The carnival has been running over the past three weeks and without the dedication and support of all players, parents, coaches and officials, it would not be possible to play these games.
