NFL Under-19 representative squad named

The Northern Football League has announced its under-19 training squad ahead of its representative clash with the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League.

The under-19 match will be played as a curtain-raiser to the senior representative game against the MPNFL in the 2016 WorkSafe AFL Victoria Community Championships.

Both matches will be played at Rye’s R.J Rowley Recreation Reserve on Saturday May 21.

The NFL’s under-19 team will be coached by Greensborough under-19 premiership coach Rod Cann. South Morang’s Mark Muscat will serve as an assistant.

The under-19 squad will commence training on Wednesday April 27. The first session will be held at Mernda’s Waterview Reserve (Waterview Dr, Mernda) from 6pm.

All players selected in the representative squad are required to email Football Operations Manager Ron McKeown at Opens window for sending emailrmckeown@nfl.org.au prior to the first training session to confirm their availability.

The NFL congratulates the 43 players selected in the initial squad.
