NFNL to celebrate centenary in 2022

The Northern Football Netball League is proud to unveil a commemorative logo to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of our league ahead of the 2022 season.

The 2022 season will be a significant one as we celebrate the centenary of our great league.

Beginning as the Diamond Valley Football Association in 1922, the league was renamed the Diamond Valley Football League upon the return to competition following WWII in 1946, before being rebranded as the Northern Football League (now Northern Football Netball League) in 2007.

To mark the centenary milestone, the commemorative logo will feature on all new football jumpers and netball dresses produced for the 2022 season, as well as on match balls and across all digital and social media platforms.

In recent years historian David Jones has undertaken a significant project to compile a comprehensive account of the league’s history.

The NFNL website will regularly feature pieces from this account throughout the course of the 2022 season.

We look forward to celebrating our centenary in 2022 and reliving the many outstanding milestones and stories from our rich history.
