NFNL v MPNFL | Match Day and Media Information

The details for this weekend’s representative matches between the NFNL and MPNFL in the 2018 WorkSafe AFL Victoria Community Championships.

A senior men’s, senior women’s and under-19 match will be played at Preston City Oval on Saturday May 19.

Following a 125-point win over the Western Region Football League last year, the Northern Football Netball League men’s team has risen to fourth spot on the AFL Victoria Community Championships rankings.

The MPNL sits in third place, with the winner of Saturday’s game to play off in the top-billed match against either the Geelong Football League or Eastern Football League in 2019.

The senior women’s match will mark history for the NFNL, with the league fielding a senior women’s representative team for the very first time. The match will be played against South Eastern Women’s.

Final teams will be announced later this week.

Senior Men’s – commences at 2:00pm at Preston City Oval
Senior Women’s – commences at 12:00pm at Preston City Oval
Under-19 – commences at 10:00am at Preston City Oval

ADMISSION PRICES

The price of admission is $10 for adults and $5 for aged pensioners. Children under-16 enter free. Please note: no dogs will be permitted into Preston City Oval.

LIVE VIDEO STREAM

A live video stream of the senior men’s and women’s match will be available on the Northern Football Netball League Facebook page, courtesy of Sportscast Australia. NFNL commentators Tom Flanagan, Jordan Kounelis, Samuel Zito and Nicholas Sacco will call all the action live, with MPNFL’s Michael Voss to join the commentary team for the senior men’s match.
