ELTHAM’S midfield will be bolstered by the inclusions of VFL duo Bradyn Taglieri and Anton Woods for the 2015 NFL season.

The Panthers announced the signings of Taglieri and Woods on Wednesday night.

The additions are a welcome boost for the Panthers, who already possess NFL representative midfielders Gavan Connelly and Tom Rogers.

22-year-old Taglieri has committed full-time to the Panthers after spending the past two seasons with VFL outfit Northern Blues.

Taglieri played 55 senior games with the Panthers between 2010 and 2012 before joining the Blues in 2013.

In 2011 he was runner-up to Gavan Connelly for Eltham’s best and fairest award in just his second season of senior football.

During his time with Northern Blues he played eight senior games and a further 24 games in the AFL Victoria Development League. He also featured three times for Eltham over the past two years.

Woods, 23, joins the Panthers after five years in the VFL with Northern Blues and Williamstown.

It followed a successful stint with Northern Knights in the TAC Cup, where he won the 2009 Morrish Medal as the best player in the competition.
Woods played a total of 28 VFL games and 63 Development League games.

A former Diamond Creek junior, Woods previously played two senior games for the Creekers. He was also a Heidelberg-listed player but never made an appearance for the Tigers due to VFL commitments with Williamstown.
