Reservoir Sporting Club, affiliated with the Northern Football Netball League, are accepting applications for a Playing Assistant Coach for our senior men’s team for the 2022 season.
The position will report directly to our Head Coach, Justin George, and will play a key role in on field leadership across the playing group in 2022.
The role presents an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to contribute to the growth and development of the playing group and club as a whole, with the club approaching our 100th year celebration in 2023.
Key objectives of the role:
• Work as part of the coaching panel to develop and implement a modern game style and philosophy
• Assist the Head Coach and Non-playing Assistant Coach with the implementation and management of team standards in support of RSC core values
• Present a structured, organised and disciplined approach to both training sessions and games
• Assist with player retention, recruitment, and skills development, in partnership with the Football Operations Manager & Head Coach
• Relationship management across both internal and external stakeholders
The successful applicant will possess:
• Knowledge and experience as a player in the development and execution of game plans, training techniques and player skills to support objectives
• Passion for delivering improved performance of players and the broader team
• A proven record as a leader on and off the field
• A focus on culture and leadership
• Desire and drive for personal, team and club success
• Passion to develop their coaching skills
• Ability to play their role as part of the coaching panel
• Level 1 Coaching Accreditation desired (club willing to assist with obtaining qualifications)
Remuneration is available for the position and is negotiable upon knowledge, skills and experience.
