The Old Paradians Football Club is seeking applicants for the role of senior coach for season 2024.
Established in 1929, and based in Bundoora, the Old Paradians is one of the most respected clubs in the Northern Suburbs, with a strong culture and strong tradition in the development performance and support of young men in our community.
In season 2024 we will be moving from the VAFA to the NFNL (pending approval). Our football program comprises of players from Seniors, Reserves, Under 19s and our Junior Club, Parade St Damian’s JFC.
Reporting to the Head of Football, the successful applicant will lead the Senior Team and, in conjunction with the Club’s football department, develop and oversee a coaching program that will encourage and enable our players to perform at their best.
They will also fit the following criteria:
• Level 2 AFL Coaching accreditation is preferable
• Ability to work and lead a team of coaches
• Experience in coaching and development of younger players
• Has coached their own team
• Proven reputation for being strategic and innovative
• Up to date knowledge of modern trends in football coaching / methodology
• Enjoyment working with players of varying abilities
• Excellent communication, organization and time management skills
• Available for all training sessions and Saturday afternoons
