The Northern Football League has announced the venues for the 2015 senior finals series.
This year’s senior finals will be played at Preston City Oval, Whittlesea Showgrounds and Epping Recreation Reserve.
Preston City Oval will host every Division 1 final, including the Grand Final on Saturday, September 19.
The ground will also play host to the Division 2 Grand Final on Saturday, September 12.
The Division 2 preliminary final and both the first and second semi finals will be played at Epping Recreation Reserve.
Whittlesea Showgrounds is the new host of the Division 3 Grand Final on Saturday, September 5. The ground will also host the Division 3 preliminary final a week prior.
The Division 3 semi finals will be played at Whittlesea Showgrounds and Epping Recreation Reserve. The dates of the Division 3 semi finals will be confirmed once the participants are determined.
The NFL is focused on ensuring all finals are played in a quality, family-friendly environment, which is safe and inclusive.
To provide this environment the league has considered all components of its finals, including the sale and consumption of alcohol.
In order to create a quality, family-friendly environment, the NFL Board has decided to ban cars from entering the venues of the senior finals series.
External parking will be available at both Epping and Whittlesea venues and the NFL will be promoting all parking options in the lead up to the finals.
This set up will be not too dissimilar to Preston City Oval, where there is no parking inside the venue.
There is a large quantity of seating at the Whittlesea Showgrounds, and at Epping Recreation Reserve there is an ample elevated sealed area for patrons to bring their own chairs if they wish.
