The selected teams are in for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.

Montmorency have brought back some huge names ahead of their Melbourne Greyhounds Division 1 clash with Greensborough as Marcus Lentini and Liam Wale-Buxton headline the inclusions. The Boro meanwhile will be without the likes of Charlie Bowes, Jack Newnes and Joel Trudgeon for the match.

Jack Raines makes his Banyule debut with Kye Yodgee also returning for the Bears’ battle with Hurstbridge, while Michael Florance and Billy Hogan play their first games of the year for North Heidelberg as they face Bundoora..

Other notable omissions this week across the Division 1 competition include Sam Gilmore (Heidelberg), Benjamin McNiece (Bundoora) and Jaron Murphy (Whittlesea).

While the reigning premiers will miss their skipper, they do welcome back Division 1 Coaches MVP winner Matthew Smith.

In MC Labour Division 2, Thomastown make four changes for their big clash with South Morang, with ruck Jarryd Coulson set to miss. The Lions meanwhile welcome back Nathan Stefanile from suspension.

Jake Dambrauskas has been included in the St Mary’s squad to face Eltham tomorrow while last year’s minor premiers bring in co-captain Jackson Weatherald.

Patrick Flynn and Nathan Searl headline the out’s column for Lower Plenty and Diamond Creek respectively.

Heidelberg West will unveil multiple new names ahead of their Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 clash with the Fitzroy Stars tonight, the visitors made three changes from the side that defeated Lalor.

Former Greensborough ruck Jake McNamara makes his NFNL return after being selected by Kinglake in their match with Kilmore. The Blues will miss forward Bailey Taylor-Egan.

Meanwhile Old Eltham Collegians have made five changes following their opening round defeat to Mernda, with 2022 Team of the Year forward Nicholas Milne headlining the inclusions.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to Sunday’s matches.
