The selected teams for this week’s NFNL senior football matches in Towards Zero Round.

There are big names returning across all three senior men’s competitions for Towards Zero Round.

Macleod has named 2018 Frank Rosbrook medallist Lucas Hobbs, along with Matt Dornauf and Coburg VFL duo Brodie Foster and Muhammad Saad for its home clash against Hurstbridge.

Hobbs and Dornauf have both missed the past four games, while Saad booted five majors in his most recent appearance for the Roos in Round 12. Foster is a former Gold Coast Suns Academy member and has played 13 VFL games this year.

Representative midfielder Stephen McCallum will play his first game since Round 12 when Montmorency hosts West Preston-Lakeside in a crunch game at Montmorency Park.

However, Matthew Hunt will miss for the Magpies against an unchanged Roosters line-up, which has won its past two games by 10 goals.

Shane Biggs, Daniel Harris and Morgan Persson-Clark are among six outs for North Heidelberg for its clash with Northcote Park at Shelley Reserve, although Jesse Tardio returns after last week playing for VFL outfit Williamstown. Kyle Green returns from injury for his first game since Round 5.

The Cougars have made just one change, but the out is significant with skipper Paul Dirago set to miss.

Brenton Briffa and Matthew Evans are among three inclusions for Bundoora’s clash with ladder-leader Greensborough at Yulong Reserve, but playing-coach Andrew Sturgess and Scott Dowell are both among the outs.

The Boro have included Ben Fennell and ruckman Jake McNamara, who will play his first senior game since Round 3 last year after recovering from a significant knee injury.

Meanwhile, Josh Gribben and Chaz Sargeant return for Heidelberg’s home match against Lower Plenty. The Bears regain Matthew Perazzola.

In A Plus Labour Solutions Division 2, Bryce Adams returns for Diamond Creek’s vital clash against Thomastown where both sides will be desperate for a win to boost their finals hopes. The Bears will go in unchanged.

Michael Still, Lewis Glasgow and Paul Currie have all been named for Eltham’s trip to Watsonia. The Panthers have slipped to fourth on the ladder and must now win all three remaining games to have any hopes of a top-two finish.

Banyule has added Brent Stanton for its home match against the Fitzroy Stars, but will be without Mitch Lovell and Riley Keath. The Stars have named Ethan Penrith and Jai Burns.

Elsewhere, Leigh Judd and Alec Buchan return for Epping’s match against Epping Recreation Reserve.

All Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 clubs are able to select a 23rd Player for this weekend’s matches. The 23rd Player must be an under-19 eligible player and can’t have previously played more than two senior games.

Laurimar has added Mitch Golby, Michael Brennan and Brad Deed among five changes for its top of the table clash with Panton Hill at Laurimar Reserve. The Redbacks go in to the much-anticipated game unchanged.

Two-time competition best and fairest winner Jarryd Coulson returns for Heidelberg West’s trip to J.J. Clancy Reserve to play Kilmore. The Blues also regain their captain, with Ben Tsakmakis named.

Elsewhere, Matthew Trim will play his first senior game since Round 3 when South Morang travels to Eltham College to play Old Eltham Collegians, while Lalor has named key forward Sam Rexhepi for its trip to Mernda.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to each match.
