The selected teams for this weekend’s NFNL senior football matches.
Heidelberg has named Jack Blair for the Meadows Greyhounds Division 1 qualifying final against North Heidelberg at Preston City Oval, although Josh Gribben and Will Knight will both miss.
Blair has proven to be one of the recruits of the 2019 season and has kicked 16 goals in 12 appearances for the Tigers – the last of which was the Round 14 win away to Hurstbridge.
Brent Harvey, Shane Biggs and Michael Florance are among five inclusions for North Heidelberg after sitting out last week’s 55-point win over Bundoora.
West Preston-Lakeside has also made five changes for Sunday’s elimination final against Montmorency at Preston City Oval.
2018 premiership skipper Nathan Valladares is among the inclusions for the Roosters, along with Collingwood VFL-listed Michael Marotta and ruckman Matthew Harman.
Montmorency also regains key players for the knockout clash, with Ben Walton, Matthew Hunt and Braedyn Gillard all named for the club’s first final since 2014.
In A Plus Labour Solutions Division 2, Banyule will be bolstered by the return of Brent Stanton and James Kroussoratis for its second semi final against Whittlesea at Epping Recreation Reserve – where the winner will book the first place in the grand final.
Chris McCabe is among four inclusions for the Eagles, who enter the clash on the back of a nine-game winning streak.
Eltham has named Collingwood VFL defender Adam Oxley for Sunday’s first semi final against Thomastown at Whittlesea Showgrounds.
Laurimar regains Adam Dennis among three changes for the Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 preliminary final against South Morang, however key forward Mitch Golby is not named to play.
The Lions regain James Hewson, who missed last week’s first semi final win over Kilmore.
Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s grand finals have also been named. All women’s grand finals will be played at Epping Recreation Reserve on Sunday.
