The selected teams for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.

A host of star players are back for this weekend’s action, with some huge games across all senior competitions.

Brad Leggett, Reid Brandt and Josh Totino all return for Macleod as it hunts for a third-straight win when it travels to Ben Frilay Oval to take on Hurstbridge.

The Bridges have lost leading goal kicker Jack Donnelly and fellow key forward Bailey Jordan.

Northcote Park has made a host of changes as it looks to end a two-game losing streak when it hosts Heidelberg at Bill Lawry Oval.

Star forward Jackson Starcevich returns from injury, along with two-time Frank Rosbrook medallist Bronik Davies, Tyson Old and Lachlan Boscarini.

Despite the great inclusions, its not all good news for the Cougars, who will be without star duo Ash Close and Jordan Perry.

The Tigers regain Jack Blair and Fletcher Carroll, but will be without key defender Aaron Crispe.

West Preston-Lakeside will be bolstered by the return of ruckman Mark Kovacevic and Aidan Tilley as it searches for its first win of the season against Lower Plenty.

Kovacevic was best afield in last year’s grand final win but has been sidelined since Round 2 with a knee injury, while Tilley will play his first game for the Roosters this year after spending the opening two months of the season with VFL outfit Coburg.

North Heidelberg defender Jake Brown will play his first game of the season when the Bulldogs host Greensborough in a much-anticipated top-three clash at Shelley Reserve.

The Boro have lost ruckman Liam Read, who was sidelined with a knee issue during the first quarter of last week’s win over Bundoora.

Elsewhere, Bundoora will travel to Montmorency without goal-kicking midfielder Nathan Thomas, where a place inside the top-five is on the line.

In A Plus Labour Solutions Division 2, Banyule has regained Ricky Dyson for its top of the table clash with Thomastown at Beverley Road Oval. Thomastown has named an unchanged line-up.

Diamond Creek welcomes back ruckman Josh Marchbank for just his second game of the season when it hosts St Mary’s at Coventry Oval. Sean Casey is also back in the Creekers’ line-up.

Whitttlesea has named Jaron Murphy among five inclusions for its home match against Watsonia at Whittlesea Showgrounds. The Saints regain key forward Julian Maloni.

Meanwhile, the Fitzroy Stars have named Northern Blues speedster Ethan Penrith for their trip to Epping. Penrith has played two VFL games in 2019.

All clubs in Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 are able to select a 23rd Player for this weekend’s round of matches. The 23rd Player must be an under-19 eligible player and can’t have previously played more than two senior games.

Justin Sherman and Luke Wilson return for Laurimar’s top-three match against Heidelberg West, where the Hawks have regained Cameron Taylor and playing-coach Cam van Florestein.

Jeremy Topham and Scott Swindells return for Kilmore’s top-four match against Panton Hill at J.J. Clancy Reserve. The Redbacks have lost small forward Alek Tsardakis.

South Morang and Reservoir both regain their 2018 best and fairest winner for their clash at Mill Park Lakes Reserve, with Bailey Brown and Samuel McDowell named for their respective clubs.

Meanwhile, Old Eltham Collegians and Lalor have both made a host of changes for their game at Eltham College, with Bloods skipper Jackson Freebairn among five of his side’s inclusions.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to each match.
