The selected teams for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.

Every game in Meadows Greyhounds Division 1 looks pivotal in shaping both the top-five and the battle to avoid the relegation scrap.

Former St Kilda star Stephen Milne will make a cameo appearance for Lower Plenty in its match against Bundoora at Montmorency Park South Oval. Milne booted 574 goals in 275 AFL appearances for the Saints.

The Bulls regain Daniel Guccione, but will be without playing-coach Andrew Sturgess.

2018 Frank Rosbrook medallist Lucas Hobbs will play just his third game of the season when Macleod hosts Northcote Park at De Winton Park. Hobbs has been sidelined with a knee injury since the Round 3 loss at Heidelberg on Anzac Day.

He is one of five inclusions for the Roos, alongside Matt Dornauf and Coburg trio Jack Baker, Muhammad Saad and Harry Simington. Jack Bianchin will miss through injury, Daniel O’Brien is unavailable and Mark Baker returns to the VFL.

The Cougars regain Nick Carter and Michael Naldrett, while Julian Violato will play his first senior game this season. Tyson Old returns to Coburg.

Heidelberg welcomes back Jack Blair and Chaz Sargeant for its top-three battle against North Heidelberg at Warringal Park. It’s not all great news for the Tigers though, with key forward Sam Grimley and midfielder Fletcher Carroll among the outs.

Jhye Baddeley-Kelly returns for North Heidelberg after missing the match against Macleod after representing Vic Metro in the under-25 representative game against Tasmania.

Goal kicker Jack Donnelly has been named for Hurstbridge’s home match against West Preston-Lakeside, although defender Riley Reading is set to miss. Reading had been in line to take the job on star forward Ahmed Saad.

The Roosters regain key forward Liam McVeigh, although 2018 best and fairest Sam Glover has been named by Collingwood’s VFL outfit.

Dan McLinden, Jacob Ireland and Jacob Pickett have all been added to Greensborough’s line-up as it hunts a ninth-straight win. The Boro’s opponent, Montmorency, will be without Matthew White after a four-goal haul last week.

In A Plus Labour Solutions Division 2, there are changes aplenty at Eltham. Forward Michael Still and defender Daniel Coffield return for the clash with St Mary’s at Whatmough Park, although Tim Currie, Brandon Freeman and Ben Montanaro will miss through injury, while Adam Oxley returns to Collingwood in the VFL.

Banyule has named Brent Stanton for its trip to Epping, although Scott Gumbleton and Riley Hogarth will both miss.

The Blues will be without Alec Buchan and Reed Jepson, who finished first and second respectively in last year’s best and fairest.

Clancy Bland and Thomas Falls return for Whittlesea’s crunch game against Thomastown at Main Street Reserve, where the home side will be without Jacob Osei-Duro.

In Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3, Laurimar co-captain Luke Wilson returns for his side’s top-four battle against local rival South Morang at Mill Park Lakes Reserve.

Matt Fowler is back in Panton Hill’s line-up for its home match against Lalor, while Ben Fogarty returns for Heidelberg West’s crunch game away to Mernda.
