The senior teams for Round 7.
It’s a big week for unbeaten Division 2 club North Heidelberg who welcomes Collingwood premiership star Alan Didak for a cameo appearance against Epping.
Didak played 218 AFL games and booted 274 goals in a career that spanned from 2001 to 2013. He won the Magpies’ best and fairest award in 2006 and was named an All-Australian on two occasions.
In Division 1, Northcote Park welcomes back key trio Paul Scanlon, Will Debruin and Koden Colman for its crunch match with Bundoora. The Bulls regain ruckman Matthew Dennis from injury.
Macleod and Montmorency have both sustained significant losses ahead of their meeting at De Winton Park. The Roos will be without injured duo Brad Leggett and Hayden Seivers, while Montmorency losses Mark McKenzie and Ben Walton from its side.
Lower Plenty has also lost two keys players for its home match against Greensborough, with Bill Barden and Clint Monger both set to miss. The Boro welcome back Drew Wilson.
Heidelberg has named an unchanged line-up following its big win at Bundoora, while its opponent, West Preston-Lakeside, will be without suspended forward Alroy Gilligan.
In the good news story of the week, Mernda welcomes back Josh Delaney to its senior side. Delaney has been sidelined since suffering a significant neck injury in 2012.
