Andrew will be just the 10th West Lalor player to reach the 150 game milestone since the club’s establishment in 1973.
The 16-year-old will reach the landmark match when West Lalor hosts West Preston in the Under-17 Red competition on Sunday.
The milestone is one of many achievements Andrew has accomplished in his junior football career.
A member of the Northern Knights Under-16 Max Richardson squad, Andrew finished third in the 2012 Under-15 Red best and fairest last season.
He was also a member of the Northern Knights Under-15 Keith Burns squad in 2012 and played in all three metro championships games for the NFL’s Under-15 representative team.
In 2011 he was named best and fairest for West Lalor’s Under-14 team and finished third in the Under-14 Green competition best and fairest. In the same year he was a member of the NFL’s Under-14 development squad.
It was a similar tale in 2010 where he won West Lalor’s Under-13 best and fairest award and finished second in the NFL’s Under-13 silver competition best and fairest. He was a member of the Under-13 league development squad and also officiated as an umpire that year.
In 2009 Andrew reached his 100th game of football and celebrated by being selected in the Under-12 NFL development squad and finishing fourth in his club’s best and fairest.
He was winner of the West Lalor’s Under-11 best and fairest in 2007 and 2008 and finished third in the Under-10s best and fairest in 2004 – his first year of football.
Andrew has made a speedy and determined recovery from a hip operation in January and has been quick to regain his form in the opening two weeks of the 2013 season.
Off the football field Andrew is also a talented cricketer. He has been named club champion of Mill Park Cricket Club on numerous occasions and made his senior debut for Mill Park in the 2011/2012 season.
The West Lalor Football Club and Northern Football League congratulates Andrew on reaching his 150 game milestone and wish him the best of luck this Sunday.
Well done, Andrew!
