2012 season welcome

Published on Wednesday, April 4, 2012

It has been the usual flurry of activity off the field over the summer with clubs preparing for the 2012 season.

Our competitions continue to grow and this year we welcome Kinglake to our juniors, along with Montmorency, Epping and Yarrambat to the Youth Girls competition.

Meanwhile, the number of netball clubs in our league continues to increase at a rapid rate and we welcome every new club and player to our competition.

We also congratulate Lower Plenty on the introduction of its FIDA side and wish the team the best of luck for the upcoming season.

Our competition relies on a large number of volunteers. To those that get in there and roll up their shelves to help out – thank you.

Outside of competitive competition the NFL looks to cement itself as a leading sporting organisation.

Under the guidance of CEO Jeremy Bourke, the professionalism of the NFL continues to flourish with many interested parties taking up sponsorship opportunities with the NFL.

At the same time the NFL continues to work with local government, state government and the AFL to develop Barling Reserve as the home of the NFL.

On behalf of the board, all the very best to players, coaching staff, and umpires for the 2012 season.
