2022 MC Labour Division 2 Team of the Year

The 2022 MC Labour Division 2 Team of the Year has been selected.

The Team of the Year is selected based on the following criteria:

• Nominations submitted by each senior coach within each division at the conclusion of the home and away season. Coaches must select a player for each position on the field.

• Coaches MVP votes

• Best and Fairest votes

Lower Plenty and Thomastown have four members each in the final side, with Division 2 best and fairest winner Darcy Barden among three Lower Plenty players to make it back-back appearances.

Thomastown duo Josh Beare and Anthony Capeci have made it three Division 2 Team of the Year selections while this is Jarryd Coulson’s fifth consecutive appearance in a Team of the Year after receiving the honours four times with Heidelberg West in Division 3.

The remaining top five sides in Banyule, Diamond Creek and Eltham all had three representatives. Of those nine players, seven of them have made the side for the first time.

Watsonia have two players in the Team of the Year, with Lachlan Potter making a second consecutive appearance, while Epping, Panton Hill and St Mary’s each have one member selected.

The NFNL congratulates everyone selected in the team.
