The Northern Football League has overturned the result from the Round 13 match between Kilmore and St Mary’s.
The NFL grievance committee last night upheld Kilmore’s appeal and determined that the final behind scored by St Mary’s after the final siren should not have been awarded.
In the view of the concessions made during the hearing, and AFL Laws of the Game Rule 12.5.2, the error was made on the last act of play after the siren had sounded and acknowledged by both field umpires.
The NFL has amended the scores accordingly to reflect this determination, with Kilmore awarded four premiership points and the final score amended to 7.5 (47) to 5.16 (46).
