The NFNL wishes to provide an update on crowd numbers and COVID-19 guidelines ahead of the 2021 football season.
The current outdoor spectator cap for community football matches is 1000 patrons, which does not include participants. This figure is based on current DHHS guidelines and is subject to change.
The NFNL has not set a limit on the number of family members per player who can attend football matches. We welcome and look forward to seeing all parents, siblings, grandparents and friends at games when we return to playing football in April.
Spectators will be required to follow COVID-19 guidelines, which will be displayed around the grounds at each venue.
All spectators will be strongly encouraged to check-in using the provided QR code when they arrive at the venue and will be required to maintain a 1.5m distance, including at team huddles during quarter breaks.
The league also wishes to address incorrect information being reported regarding high-fives in junior football matches.
The NFNL will not be implementing a ban on high-fives and we encourage all players to continue to play the game with the same passion and enthusiasm they have previously enjoyed.
We cannot wait to have football back in the NFNL and look forward to seeing you around the grounds.
