Manzoney’s appointment is the culmination of an exhaustive selection process for the Bridges which involved nine quality applicants.

He has a long and distinguished background in the Northern Football League, which includes 200 games as a player with Panton Hill over 14 seasons.

In 2012 he was midfield coach of Division 1 side Macleod, a year after coaching the club’s under-19 side.

He has spent time at Lower Plenty as a player development coach and has worked under experienced coaches including Wayne Harmes, Gary Ramsay and Cristian Brandt.

Manzoney recently completed his Bachelor of Sports Science and Coaching at Victoria University and also has completed his AFL Coaching Level 2 accreditation.

In a statement posted on its website, Hurstbridge thanked departing senior coach Darren Blyth for his contribution over the past three years and wished him every success in his next coaching appointment.
