Hamer receives life membership

Hamer was recognised for his tremendous service to football in the northern region following a career with the Bulls that spanned 30 years and 504 games.

A dual Bundoora under-18 best and fairest winner in 1982 and 1983, Hamer made his senior debut as a 17-year-old in the 1983 season.

It began a remarkable senior career that came to an end only at the end of the 2012 home and away season.

A member of Bundoora’s 1995 and 1996 senior premiership team, Hamer won a total of eight premierships with the Bulls and was captain-coach of the club’s reserves premierships in 2003 and 2006.

He is a member of Bundoora’s Team of the Century and his number 14 jumper hangs proudly in the club’s Yulong Reserve social room.

Added to his Bundoora achievements, Hamer was the winner of the league’s reserves best and fairest in 2000 and was the reserves leading goal kicker in 2003 and 2007.

The Northern Football League congratulates Andrew Hamer on his magnificent career and on receiving life membership.
