A recap of eight of our 2025 Cleaning Melbourne Senior Winter Netball Grand Finals which were held at La Trobe Sports Stadium on Friday night.
17 & Under: Diamond Creek (29) def Ivanhoe (21)
Diamond Creek capped off a terrific season in the 17 & Under competition with a seven-goal triumph over Ivanhoe in their Grand Final meeting.
Both sides were locked in a tight tussle in the opening half, with scores settling on 13 goals apiece at the main break after both scored seven goals in the first term.
A 10 goal to one third quarter then saw Diamond Creek enter the final break up by nine goals. Despite losing the final term, the third quarter was enough to see the Creekers over the line 29-21.
Layla Herbert was exceptional in the victory, scoring 17 goals and being awarded Best on Court honours for the match.
Ruby Saulsman was also solid for the Creekers while Claire and Grace Wright fought their hearts out for the Creekers.
Division 8: Ivanhoe 1 (27) def Broadford 2 (24)
Ivanhoe have completed a successful return to the senior netball competition by claiming the Cleaning Melbourne Division 8 Premiership with a three-goal win over Broadford 2.
Both sides were evenly matched in the opening half, only separated by one goal at the main break, a margin which favoured Ivanhoe.
Ivanhoe 1 then pulled away in the third term with a nine goal to five quarter before holding off a late Broadford charge to secure the 27-24 victory.
Jessica Hooker had an exceptional game for Ivanhoe, being rewarded with best on court honours. Roise Bell led the way in attack for Ivanhoe with a 14-goal outing.
Erica Heers also scored 14 goals for the Roos who were well led by centre Anita Morgan on the night.
Division 9: Hurstbridge 3 (21) def by Northcote Park (28)
Northcote Park 2 claimed the first of two premierships for the Cougars with a seven-goal victory over Hurstbridge 3 in the Cleaning Melbourne Division 9 decider.
The Cougars got off to a solid start, leading by three goals at the first break before increasing that advantage to five goals at the main break.
After both sides scored five goals apiece in the third term the Cougars capped off a terrific Grand Final performance with a 10 goal to eight final term, sealing the 28-21 victory.
Maggie Noonan scored eight goals for the Cougars while Ellie McMahon provided some solid support with an eight goal performance.
Courtney Fowles was a shining light again in attack for the Bridges, scoring 14 out of their 21 goals for the night.
Division 10: Kilmore 4 (23) def by Reservoir 1 (26)
Reservoir has completed a successful return to the NFNL senior winter netball competition by securing the Cleaning Melbourne Division 10 premiership over Kilmore 4.
The Mustangs got off to a fast start with an eight goal to four first term before a six goal to three second term saw them lead 14-7 at the main break.
After Kilmore stabilised in the third term they then came charging back in the last with an eight goal to five term. However it wasn’t enough as the Mustangs claimed the 26-23 goal victory.
Isabella Henderson was terrific across the court and was rewarded for her efforts with best on court honours. Chloe Papadimitriou starred in attack with 19 goals while April Thibault scored six.
Liz Stoward and Mikayla Amodio had solid games in attack for the two Blues, scoring 20 of Kilmore’s 23 goals on the night.
Division 11: Laurimar 2 (33) def Bundoora 9 (20)

In a strong fought game in the Cleaning Melbourne Division 11 Grand Final, Laurimar 2 took home the premiership with a 33-20 triumph over Bundoora 9.
Bundoora started the game off strong, they stayed consistent and were showing promise, however Laurimar fought back strongly and remained composed throughout the game.
The Power slowly built their advantage over the remaining quarters despite some resistance from the Bulls and were able to cap off an excellent Grand Final performance with some late goals to seal the 13-goal triumph
Tully Carr, Breanna Berlowitz, and Michelle McTaggart all played exceptionally well for Laurimar this game. Taylea Arnel also scored 23 goals this game for her team.
Claire Lawson, Scarlett Villegas, Georgia Matthews and Georgia Dalton all played well for Bundoora. Monique Constanzo scored a total of 17 goals this game for Bundoora.
Division 12: Broadford 3 (35) def Laurimar 4 (20)

Broadford 3 took home the Grand Final win in the Cleaning Melbourne Division 12 against Laurimar 4 winning 35-20. Both sides started and finished the game off strongly, however it was the Roos that slowly built up a handy buffer.
The last two quarters of the game oversaw both teams going head-to-head for the ball, with a strong defence to keep each other from scoring, it was a very competitive game. Despite Laurimar coming back in the last quarter and scoring the opener goal and finding their way back, Broadford stayed composed and confirmed their win by scoring two goals in the final minute of the game.
Grace Neilson, who was named Best on Court for her exceptional performance, scored 27 goals for her team this game. Jennifer Neilson, Ashleigh Leahy, April Maunder and Tarsja Mikkelsen all played remarkably well for Broadford.
Tori Williams, Laurimar’s highest goal scorer this season scored 13 goals this game for her team. Mia Hodgson, Eva Thorn, Madison Hodge, and Caitlyn Dickason played exceptionally well for Laurimar this game.
Division 13: Northcote Park 3 (32) def La Trobe 3 (22)
Northcote Park and La Trobe went head-to-head in the Cleaning Melbourne Division 13 Grand Finals. Both teams fought competitively across all four quarters of the games, with Northcote Park taking home the win 32 goals to 22.
From the first whistle, the Cougars came out firing, they scored a goal within the first couple minutes of game. While both sides brought some strong defensive pressure, as well as some free flowing attacking plays, it was the Cougars who’d come out on top.
Meagan Lescun, Lauren Bordin, Lily Jones, Ava Livingstone and Jessica Mandile all played exceptionally well for the Cougars this game. Ebony McLean, the leading goal scorer for the season, Scored a total of 19 goals this game for the Cougars.
Maegan Johnstone, Abby Tate, Nina Theron, Anna Kelly and Olivia Cathcart put up a great fight for Latrobe this game. Hayley Slatich, the leading goal scorer for La Trobe this season, scored a total of 15 goals this game for her team.
Division 14: Fitzroy Stars 3 (21) def Hazel Glen 3 (18)
Fitzroy Stars 3 secured the Cleaning Melbourne Division 14 premiership, coming from behind to win by three goals against Hazel Glen 3.
Hazel Glen started off the game solidly with a five goal to three first term before a six goal to five second term saw Hazel Glen lead by there goals at the main break.
The Stars then put their foot to the pedal with a 10 goal to two third term, rushing out to a five-goal lead. They then held off a Hazel Glen final quarter surge to win 21-18.
Paige Nelson starred in attack with 12 out of the Stars 21 goals and was well supported by Thelma Norris and Yulkirri Bamblett.
Dakota Clohesly scored 12 goals while Christabel Damba starred at goalkeeper and was one of the better players on the night.
Division 15: Watsonia 7 (28) def Fitzroy Stars 4 (21)
Watsonia 7 secured the Cleaning Melbourne Division 15 premiership with a seven goal victory over Fitzroy Stars 4.
The Saints built a solid foundation in the first half, scoring six goals to four in the first term before an eight goal to five second term saw them lead by five goals at the main break.
Fitzroy Stars fought hard in the second half, however a nine goal to seven final term capped off a 28-21 triumph for the Saints over the Stars.
Georgia Black was exceptional, scoring 18 goals, including seven in the final term, to secure best on court honours for the Saints.
Kaneesha Wise and Cerrin Karpany were also excellent for the Stars, combining for 19 of their 21 goals on the night.
