50 games – Max Wingrave

Published on Wednesday, July 3, 2013

Congratulations to Diamond Creek junior Max Wingrave who played his 50th game on the weekend.

The handy small forward and occasional midfielder reached the figure when Diamond Creek’s Under-11 Blue team took on Bundoora Park at Bundoora Park Oval on Sunday.

Max started the day on a good note, kicking a goal in the first quarter as his team raced out to a 17-point lead at quarter time.

Unfortunately, they weren’t able to hang on and fell to a 25-point loss to the Thunderbolts in a high-scoring encounter.

Max and his teammates will be looking to bounce back in a week’s time when they return from the school holiday break to take on third-placed South Morang Blue.

Well done on a great achievement, Max!
