BANYULE Football Club has officially joined the Northern Football League after AFL Victoria today approved the club’s transfer.

Banyule will compete in Division 3 of the NFL next season after successfully completing a switch from the Victorian Amateur Football League (VAFA), where it competed in Premier C in 2014.

The Bears were accepted into the NFL by member clubs at a special general meeting held at La Trobe University on September 17.

Banyule last week announced Jason Plant as its coach for the 2015 season. Ash Brown and Peter Judge were appointed his assistants.
