Bello appointed to helm

Bello comes to the role after spending the previous five seasons as the Box Hill FC Development League coach, taking them to the 2011 premiership.

He was also a playing assistant coach at Nunawading in the Eastern Football League and has had stints as an assistant with the SANFL Under-16 Country Youth Championships with both Central Districts and West Adelaide football clubs.

Bello has been a football development officer at Central Districts in the SANFL and is a five-time premiership player with the club. He was also a SANFL state representative in 2001 and 2002.

He has claimed three senior best and fairest awards – two with Central Districts in premiership years and one with Box Hill Hawks in the VFL after a three-year playing stint at the club between 2008 to 2010.

Bello currently has a full time role in Marketing and Communications.

He replaces Anthony Allen who coached the Knights for three years between 2010 to 2012.
